Hihi on Tiritiri Matangi Island

The breadth of research in the Centre for Computational Evolution was featured in the 2016 InSCight alumni magazine. InSCight is the annual Faculty of Science alumni magazine featuring new developments and research at the faculty.

Dr Anna Santure described her work to understand the evolutionary potential of hihi on Tiritiri Matangi as part of her Marsden grant. Dr Simone Linz's Fast Start Marsden is developing new mathematical theorems and algorithms to better understand the relationships between species. Associate Professor Quentin Atkinson leads projects to understand the evolution of culture and language primarily in the Pacific.

The goal of CCE is to encourage collaboration between researchers who have an interest in understanding evolution through the use of mathematical models.
